crusselChris Russell is a second-year PhD student in the Screen Cultures department at Northwestern University. He specializes in digital games and computing cultures, focusing on issues of gender and sexuality. In past projects, he has written on nerdcore rap, video game emulation, and video game music remixers. His dissertation project, such as it stands, is a cultural history of the gendering of computational technology through the figures of the nerd and the geek.
