<p class="MsoNormal"><span>La Napoule Art Foundation offers Artists-In-Residence a unique environment of interdisciplinary collaboration and creativity at the Château de La Napoule in the South of France.<span> </span>Each session, eight Resident Artists of different nationalities and disciplines (literature, music, design, film, visual and performing arts) are selected by a committee of notable art professionals.<span> </span>The La Napoule Art Foundation seeks applications at two levels: a) artists of national or international distinction, with well-established reputations, for whom a change of scenery might offer fresh inspiration; b) emerging artists with a record of solid achievement and potential, for whom an appointment as a Resident Artist might contribute to professional advancement.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Studio/work space, living accommodations and all meals are provided by the Foundation. Artists requiring additional funding for travel, materials, equipment, or home expenses, should apply to other sources for support.<span> </span>The session runs from February to March. </span></p>

<p><strong>Eligibility: </strong>Academic projects must have a connection to France or Francophone cultures.  Artistic projects do not have this requirement. Proficiency in English is required.</p>
<p>The Camargo Foundation, located in Cassis, France, is an interdisciplinary and multicultural residential center for scholars pursuing studies in the humanities and social sciences related to French and francophone cultures as well as for composers, writers, and visual artists (painters, sculptors, photographers, filmmakers, video artists, and new media artists) pursuing creative projects.</p>
<p>The Foundation&#8217;s campus, which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, includes thirteen furnished apartments, a reference library, a music/conference room, an artist&#8217;s studio with darkroom, a composer&#8217;s studio, and a studio for either an artist or a composer.  Residencies are one semester (either early-September to mid-December or mid-January to the end of May) and accompanied by a stipend. A stipend of $1,500 is available.</p>
