My background is in ancient Egyptian languages and cultures, as well as in applying remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems to problems of landscape archaeology. My interest in ancient Egypt ranges from the Neolithic to late Roman/early Islamic periods, and I am interested in addressing questions of relationships between archaeological praxis, CRM-relevant law, tourism, and technology. As the Associate Director of CAMEL, I am also interested in digital archive initiatives and standards, as well as geographical data modeling and visualization.

Fields of interest: Imaging/Visualization, Information Retrieval, GIS/Mapping, Libraries/Digital Archives, Collaborative Technologies
