The Middle East History and Theory (MEHAT) Workshop is delighted to solicit your participation for the coming academic year.
This bi-weekly workshop is meant to provide a forum for campus scholars (emerging and otherwise) to present new work, receive feedback, and generate interesting and productive discussions across the disciplines. As an area studies workshop, we are eager to hear from historians, anthropologists, sociologists, musicologists, linguists, philosophers, theorists, and theologians whose work engages with the Middle East, broadly construed to include South and Central Asia, the Mediterranean, and Africa, over a time span extending from Late Antiquity and the advent of Islam to the present. Your dissertation proposals and chapters are especially welcome, along with other works in progress. If you would like to present, or to recommend someone else as a presenter, or to organize a joint workshop, please be in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
