Letters from Siberian Deportees

Join the Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture to view 157 original handwritten and personal letters from Siberian deportees to their relatives, 218 original photographs from Siberia and 71 addressed envelopes. All of these items are extremely rare and of immense historical value. The program will consist of Lithuanian and English readings from the letters that are on display. Dr. Audrius Plioplys, curator of the Hope & Spirit series, will provide an explanation of each family’s history, along with a slide show of their letters and photographs.
