Bard College, in partnership with the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), has announced a new study abroad program in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Founded in 1998 on the basis of an American liberal arts style curriculum, AUCA ranks among Central Asia’s most prestigious universities.
The Bard-AUCA Program provides an immersion experience in which students:
Take courses side-by-side with students from 25 countries.
Choose courses from an array of academic departments, including anthropology, economics, international politics, journalism, law, sociology, and comparative literature.
Participate in a rich cultural program, including a trip to another Central Asian state.
Explore Bishkek, a modern capital offering a view into Kyrgyz, Russian, and Uighur cultures.
Have the opportunity to participate in community service and internships
Engage in all aspects of student lief at AUCA, including extra-curricular clubs and activities
