RSSThe Anthropology of Europe Workshop will host Elena Marushiakova and Veselin Popov of the Bulgarian Academy of Arts & Sciences at the Anthropology of Europe Workshop on February 18.
They will present Gypsies in the region – starting from the question: Who are the Gypsies? Discussion will center on: 1) The multidimensional identity structure of the Gypsies, 2) Characteristics of Gypsy communities 3) Mosaic of Gypsy groups in the region (they will show some visual illustrations of various Gypsy groups with some examples of their musical traditions).
