アイダホの核関連施設で6人被ばく via NHK

アメリカ西部、アイダホ州にある核関連施設で8日、放射性物質の一部が容器の外に漏れる事故が起き、作業に当たっていた作業員少なくとも6人が低レベルの被ばくをしました。施設側は、放射性物質は施設の外には漏れ出してはいないとしています。 アメリカ・アイダホ州にあるアイダホ国立研究所によりますと、8日午後(日本時間の9日午前5時半ごろ)、17人の作業員が、核燃料などが保管されている施設内で作業をしていたところ、容器が開き、中から放射性物質が漏れ出しました。17人は、直ちに近くの病院に運ばれ、衣服などを調べた結果、このうち6人がプルトニウムに関連する物質によって、低レベルの被ばくをしていることが確認されたということです。17人は引き続き、詳しい検査を受けています。研究所では、「いずれも低いレベルの被ばくで、周辺の大気の調査などで、放射性物質が施設外には漏れていないことは確認できており、周辺の環境にも影響はない」と説明しています。アイダホ国立研究所は、核エネルギーや国防関係の研究を行う研究施設です。今回、事故が起きたのは、19年前に廃炉になった、かつての実験用原子炉の内部で、現在は核燃料の保管などに使われていました。研究所では、どのような経緯で容器が開いたのか、詳しい調査を進めています。 アイダホの核関連施設で6人被ばく

原発避難住民:「戻る気ない」27% 34歳以下は5割強 via mainichi.jp

(抜粋) 元の居住地へ戻る意思を聞いたところ26.9%が「戻る気はない」と答えた。年代別では、34歳以下が52.3%、80歳以上で13.1%だった。 戻らない理由(複数回答)としては「除染が困難」83.1%、「国の安全宣言レベルが信用できない」65.7%、「事故収束に期待できない」61.3%。 放射能汚染への不安の大きさが改めて示された。戻る意思がある人でも、待つことのできる期間は「1~2年」と答えた人が37.4%で、「1年以内」とした人も含めると50.3%となった。「い つまででも待つ」と答えた人は14.6%にとどまった。ただ、世代別では「いつまででも待つ」と答えた人が34歳以下で24.5%となり、世代が上がるご とに割合は低くなった。若い世代では戻る意思を持てない人が多い一方、「いつまででも」帰還を待つ人も多く、二極分化の傾向がうかがえた。 今後の生活で困っていること(複数回答)を尋ねたところ、「避難の期間が分からない」という人が57・8%、「今後の住居、移動先のめどが立たない」が49・3%と見通しが立たないことを挙げた人が多かった。【川口裕之】 全文は原発避難住民:「戻る気ない」27% 34歳以下は5割強
