MAPH alumni speak at writers conference

Last week, alumni poets gathered in Classics 110 to read to a room of current and former students, through the Association of Writers and Writing Programs conference. The four poets who spoke included two MAPH’ers, Shaindel Beers ’00 and Kiki Petrosino ’04, both reading from forthcoming or recently published collections. MAPH Alum Karsten Lund’s show “Beyond the Backyard” at the Museum of Contemporary Photography is getting rave reviews for its exploration of the public and private, identity, and the suburban landscape through photographs and videos by more than fifty artists. (Reviews below)
